We’re back

We’re an asspiring indie game development studio, born from the ashes of a old Garry’s Mod community server.

Our new game is a little different from what we thought v2 of Chronet would be, but we’ll reveal more as time goes on.

For now, we invite you to be part of our community. Have a say in what you’d like the future of Chronet’s new game to be.

Join our community to stay in the loop of our development cycle.

Sneak peak at our new game

Project Code Name: Terrestrial*

Whilst we’re not quite ready to share details about our new game…what we can tell you though is some key vision we have for it.
Since we’re still very early into the development cycle, everything is subject to change, and we rather not release too much info to prevent overhyping certain faetures that may lead to false expectations or preasure on our team. We plead patience, and as we say, join our community to partcipate in the future of <TERRESTRIAL>*

*This may or may not be the game name that we stick with, but for now, it’s what we’ll refer to our game as.

Built Standalone for PC

This isn’t going to be a mod, it’s going to a full fledged standalone game. We’re starting development within Unity engine, using C# and imported assets as placeholders till we have our own art. We’re definitely releasing on Steam/PC, and maybe console too.

Online Multiplayer

Duh. After all the joy we had in GMod days, we’re of course making the game multiplayer from the start. There will be a focus on PvE rather PvP. The vision is to eventually have 100s of players per server, but we’ll start with co-op.

Focused on Fun

We’re not looking to create a grindy game that requires hundreds of boring hours to get anywhere. Instead, we’re approching things from ‘how do we make this as fun as possible for our players’. Just like the GMod days…we gotta make sure we have a lot of laughs.

Inspired by our past

Community driven game development is something we strongly believe in. We wouldn’t be here if it wern’t for our dedicated player group that stuck with us over the years. Many would agree that our success was based on a strong community of players, many of whom are still in contact over 10 years later. The community was heavily involved in the development of the Chronet gamemode, and we want the same for our new game. From bouncing ideas off the community, to lots of playtests, we’re in this to create a beautiful game for the people! 😉

STOKED FOR THE FUTURE

We’re starting from a blank canvas, something that is both exciting and daunting at the same time. We’ve of course got a lot of ideas, some of which have made their way into our initial game design document. We’re going by the good old ‘fail fast, iterate faster, and follow the fun’. We’re starting by impementing some of these core ideas into the game, and then seeing where the path of development takes us, letting the game ‘discover itself’. We’re open to big changes in the game as we go, hopefully finding a winning formula that makes our game fun, enjoyable and memorable.

Interested in joining our small team?

We’re looking for other passionate game developers that are keen to dedicate some free time to our new project.
Whilst we’re not ready to employ anybody full time, we’re potentially keen on getting some part time devs to help us on our journey.
