The plan for upcoming weeks (Q2 2016)

    Hello everyone!

    As you can tell by this great post, I'm back! Meaning it's time for some updates.

    The server (in terms of popularity) has been doing great the past few months. Currently ranked #32 of all GMod servers (#27 for RP servers), and #1 in terms of awesomeness :suicide:. I'm not 100% sure how this happened, but a massive thank you to the staff, players, and members of Chronet :)

    I've got a couple of things in store for you over the next few weeks. Because everyone likes lists, here is a list of things to come:

    - Map change to Rockford v2
    - New features relating to the map and otherwise (theater, etc)
    - New features/updates/changes based off the most popular suggestions/requests.
    - Updating addons such as VCMod.
    - Moving our dedicated server to Chicago (instead of New York). This is a big change and will result in a better machine to run the server. This will also result in an IP change.
    - Due to the new server, we should be able to increase the player slots (while also having less lag)
    - Possibly open another RP server in Europe (will be identical to US one)
    - New admins
    - Updating website a bit.
    - And of course a few surprises.

    NOTHING WILL BE WIPED

    There is no specific ETA or time frame for when the above will happen, but the current priorities are the map change and the new dedicated server (which will most likely happen at the same time). Hopefully this happens within the next week or 2 few days.

    Its great to here that simple has made a list (I love lists). The one thing that I dont like is the part where you say about a European Server. It's possible but I like in the UK and I would still join the US because most of the people I know on the server come from the US. Im glad to here that simple is back and updating the map! Have a good one!

    I'm opposed to this simply because I basically live downstairs from the server host, if it's in New York. That would also explain the great connection I get.

    All jokes aside....

    Yes! Finally a brand new update for the best server in my opinion, Chronet. I am wondering if it will be Rockford v2_b or Rockford v2_a. I really like Rockford v2_b. And I realy hope that there will be more player slots and less lag! Thank you so much for updating Chronet.

    I think it's a bit too soon for any new admins tbh. Aidscon and Markoozy have only been trial for a few months and their applications were up for almost a year. I think some more time would be better.

    This is probably my favorite part. The whole other .3% of the community that lIves in the Midwest should also be happy.

    Saw Simple get on Garry's Mod and ran to check in. Very exciting. I may hop on the server a few times and maybe come back. Looking forward to it!

    Don't know. Depends on a variety of factors (how good the map is, how popular it is, FPS, etc).
    Could even open another server with EvoCity 3 on - but we'll see when it's released.
