I know I'm going to get shit from some people like "OMG WHY ARE YOU BUYING A LAPTOP GET A PC IDIOT"

But I'm going to college next year and I really don't want to bring my whole PC there. Do any of you have any good suggestions for a decent laptop for gaming? Try to keep it below $1,500.

Get an alienware laptop. It runs beautifully and is good on the go.
I brought mine to college with me. Was a bit expensive but if you can get a really nice used one, you might find a good deal.

They're overpriced lmao, I got a DELL INSPIRON gaming laptop for £900 and in terms of 3D Modelling and animation it should work decent.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 and it gets the job done, I haven't had a problem running any game so far.

Ya, the Dell Inspiron series is pretty good, mine broke 3 times and I had to send it back for unrelated reasons. But overall runs pretty great, for like a school laptop I guess the beef-eir types can run games.

Just to point out, if you are using your laptop for college and gaming, do not have a HDD or a hybrid drive. SSDs only. All the guys at my college have f***ed our HDDs just by carrying the latops around.

My latop's HDD now sounds like when you play a PS2 game after the cat got to the disc :(

As for the latop suggestion itself, do you have any brand preference? / Specific traits you want?

BD Drive, Screen resolution, Wireless card specifications, e.t.c.

I've got an SSD and HDD unfortunately due to budget, but I don't carry my laptop around much when it's on so I'll probably be fine lol. Though I did fuck mine up on my old laptop.
